Tansy is a powerful, poisonous plant! Apply only externally!
It has antiseptic and antispasmodic action, therefore it is applied in the treatment of neuralgia, rheumatism, edema, sprains, gout and skin diseases. It can be used as a repellent against insects (flies, fleas and lice).
Warning:
The potion should not be drunk! The herb contains Thujon, which strongly irritates the mucous membrane of the bronchi. Causes short-term excitation of the central nervous system, then a strong suppressive action with paralysis of breathing and cardiac activity. Do not use by pregnant, lactating women or children.
Method of use:
For infusion: 1 soup spoon of the herb is poured with 400 ml of boiling water. Cover and leave to soak for 2 hours. Strain and the liquid is used for compresses in contusions, edema, sprains and skin diseases. With the same infusion can be made baths for rheumatism.
For enema: 1/2 tea spoon (2 g) of the herb is boiled in 500 ml of water for 10-15 minutes after which it is strained.
